Front End Web Developer required by an online software company who support the house building industry. They are seeking a front-end developer with ideally 2 years experience to be based in their Staffordshire office and are offering up to £28k. The role will combine the art of design with the art of programming and have responsibilities including working with creative to help define and translate design visuals into fully functional web applications. Working with both back-end developers and creatives, you will bridge the gap between design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides, defining how the applications look, as well as work.

Responsibilities Include:
·Develop new user-facing applications and features
·Build reusable code and libraries for future use
·Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
·Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
·Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
·Have a passion for user-facing technology innovations and progress

Essential skills and qualifications:
·Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
·Proficient understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
·Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
·Proficient understanding of responsive front-end design principles good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
·Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them (including developing for legacy browsers)
·Working knowledge of Git
·Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them
·Good knowledge of responsive email build. Campaign Monitor and IBM Silverpop experience, and a basic knowledge of SQL is a plus
·Familiarity with usability, accessibility, WAI and Web 2.0 standards
·Basic knowledge of image authoring tools (using Photoshop), to be able to crop, resize, or perform minor adjustments on an image

'Nice to have' skills:
·Experience of the Laravel Blade templating system
·Experience of the Laravel PHP framework, and Homestead local development environment
