Our client, a leading UK retailer is expanding and they are looking for a proactive Media Relations Officer to help implement successful PR. They are a well known brand and due to some exciting changes within the business, they are looking to have a strong media team who can create effective press coverage in print, digital and broadcast.
Key duties will include the following:
Write and manage press releases for all media
Liaise with journalists
Represent the media team internally and externally
Support the delivery of media campaigns
Monitor press and be reactive to any stories
Attend seasonal events
Work closely with the digital teams including social media
Develop strong internal relationships - various departments
You should ideally have a relevant degree or equivalent, i.e. journalism/English. Writing engaging content is essential, you should be creative and proactive in understanding the brand. Previous experience of working in PR/Media is essential to be able to come in and hit the ground running. This is not a role for the faint hearted, its busy and dynamic but due to the variety it will give you fantastic career experience.
