Our client, a leading UK retailer is expanding and they are looking for a proactive, hands on Media Relations Manager. They are a well known brand and due to some exciting changes within the business, they need somebody to lead the Media Office and manage the external PR agencies to drive the PR strategy through key campaigns.

Responsibilities include:

Deliver the company media relations strategy

Manage media response and advise departments

Write engaging content for a variety of media

Manage Media Relations Officer

Represent the media team

Review and analyse the brand's media coverage

Be market savvy and up to date on current affairs

This position requires somebody who is happy to be busy, you need to be proactive/reactive due to the nature of the industry. You will also be managing the Media Relations Officer so experience of management is necessary. A solid background of at least 3 years in a media/pr/comms role is essential. You should also be able to speak with about experience within the industry and discuss techniques and the importance of digital/social media etc.
